■Features

Touch the vibration detector to the belt surface like a record stylus to detect vibrations (acceleration) in the vertical, thrust, and longitudinal directions of the belt and analyze it using AI. Belt abnormalities include wear, meandering, holes, deposits, longitudinal tears, and slips. Each has a unique vibration waveform. You can connect the above to catch actions in advance. AI-supervised data can be accumulated and correlated with belt behavior to improve belt conveyor diagnosis systems using artificial intelligence.

■Belt wear monitoring

Belt wear measurement can be performed by utilizing the phenomenon that the pressing force of the detection rod gradually decreases as the belt wears, and vibrations attenuate.

■Meandering detection

It can be detected from the slow increase and decrease of vibration in the thrust direction of the belt. Due to self-aligning rollers, etc., correction becomes ineffective and the belt eventually deviates from the compare frame.

■Perforation detection

If a small hole is formed in the belt, the vibration will be smaller when the detector falls into the hole, and the vibration will become larger as it bounces up when it exits the hole, resulting in a periodic waveform.

■Detection of deposits and seams turning up

The moment a protrusion attached to the belt surface or a protrusion rolled up due to peeling of the belt endless section collides with the detection rod, the detection rod is greatly deflected, causing an increase in amplitude. Rolling up of seams may lead to belt breakage.

■Vertical tear detection

Obstacles pierce the belt, causing a sudden increase in running resistance at the rollers. As the belt changes speed and runs in a breathing state, the hole gradually expands. Belt replacement or partial repair will be required.

■Slip

The drive roll (head pulley) idles and generates rotation speed and vibration. Slips can be caused by rain or overloading of conveyed materials. It is necessary to stop the belt quickly to prevent secondary failures.
