■What is SciMAPS?

SciMAPS (Scienomics Materials And Processes Simulations) is a materials design support platform with a highly extensible design philosophy that is based on the premise of collaboration with external programs. SciMAPS supports computational science methods at various scales that differ in time and space, from quantum chemical calculations to mesoscale calculations. SciMAPS comes standard with easy-to-use model building and data analysis functions, and allows you to use world-renowned advanced calculation programs developed at universities and research institutes in a unified operation. On the platform provided by SciMAPS, various analyzes can be performed, including estimating the physical properties of polymers, analyzing the aggregation state and behavior of small molecules and polymers, analyzing molecular reactions, and analyzing the electronic state of solids, surfaces, and interfaces. can be done.

■Module configuration

Each of the functions of SciMAPS includes a structure building function (Build) that constructs molecular models for various simulations, a simulation function (Simulate) provided as a plug-in consisting of a calculation program and its interface, and a simulation function that can be obtained from the simulation function. It consists of the infrastructure that is the core of SciMAPS, such as the analysis function (Analyze) that analyzes the collected data, the management of executed jobs, the input/output of structural data, and the execution of scripts. Plug-ins for simulation functions are grouped by field and provided as packages. There are three packages: quantum chemistry/physical calculations (Quantum), force field calculations, mesoscale calculations (Classical), thermodynamic property calculations, and structure-activity relationships (Engineering). By adding packages as needed to the basic environment consisting of basic structure construction functions, analysis functions, and infrastructure functions, you can create the optimal materials design environment for your research.
