■Summary

ChemTunes/ToxGPS is a platform that integrates a toxicity and safety-related database (ChemTunes) and a knowledge-based prediction and workflow system (ToxGPS) for compound safety and risk assessment. It targets pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, industrial and related compounds, and can be used in general toxicology and safety research of compounds. The ChemTunes database is built from regulatory and toxicology data sources and consists of expert quality-controlled in vitro and in vivo toxicity information. ToxGPS is a predictive and workflow system for a range of human health and regulatory endpoints (in vitro and in vivo). Weight-of-evidence evaluation of predicted results from both QSAR models and chemotype alerts minimizes overall uncertainty and predicts final outcome.
