Fuji Seiko's angular units are lightweight and highly rigid due to the optimal internal structure and body shape, and are available for not only drilling on inclined surfaces, but also grooving, small-diameter internal chamfering, and surface machining. Furthermore, we have developed an ultra-high rigidity "plus foot" type for processing with high processing loads.
Development concept/product concept
■Current situation and issues
- Conventional angular units have low rigidity and a complicated internal structure, resulting in large holder sizes and limited machining applications to general holes.
・Therefore, the angular unit cannot be used in other processes that are difficult to process using normal approaches, and special jigs and equipment have been required.
■Development points
Fuji Seiko's angular unit has an optimal internal structure and body shape to achieve light weight and high rigidity. Not only can it be used to drill holes on inclined surfaces, but it can also be used for grooving, small-diameter chamfering, and surface machining using a machining center, contributing to investment reduction.
