■Current situation and issues- In order to reduce equipment investment and downsize machine tools, it is essential to increase efficiency and reduce cutting resistance in drilling.
- Conventional twist drills have high thrust and poor chip evacuation, making it difficult to shorten machining time.

■Development points-The TFH drill uses a newly developed thinning shape to reduce thrust, and uses a special groove shape to improve chip evacuation, achieving high feed machining of 15% (mm/rev) of the drill diameter.
