The GK drill series is a drill for drilling general holes in aluminum materials. It is possible to flexibly propose special shapes such as multi-stage and double-groove specifications, and the double margin and straight edge specifications ensure stable machining accuracy. Furthermore, the 3-flute specification achieves excellent hole positioning accuracy for cast holes. The lineup includes GK drills for solid holes, GKT drills for cast holes, and GKZ drills with DLC coating for high welding resistance.

■Current situation and issues
・Twist drills have traditionally been the mainstream drills for drilling general holes in aluminum.
・However, twist drills had the problem of low tool rigidity, which caused the drill to behave and cause hole bending and chatter.
■Development points
・The GK series uses thinning and double margins suitable for aluminum, suppressing tool behavior and suppressing hole bending and chatter.
・Furthermore, we can flexibly propose special shapes such as multi-stage and double-groove specifications, and we also have a lineup of DLC-coated products with high welding resistance.
