About This Product

The automatic waveguide device alignment device PGAL1005 is a device that performs high-speed alignment of waveguide devices that require alignment on the input and output sides. Waveguide-type devices such as optical waveguides and splitters require not only alignment on the input side, but also position and tilt adjustment (alignment in the array direction) between the output end of the waveguide and the multicore fiber on the output side.

In this device, we applied our proprietary high-speed alignment technology PGAL-1 to develop a device that instantly performs alignment in the array direction, which was previously extremely complex and troublesome. This equipment is ideal for high-speed mounting of waveguides, splitters, optical switch devices, etc.

Features of the device
■Ultra high-speed array alignment functionOur proprietary PGAL-1 active alignment method not only allows for positional adjustment on the input and output sides, but also allows for quick tilt alignment (array direction alignment) between the output end of the waveguide and the multicore fiber.

■Gap management using image processingGap management of the waveguide and each fiber on the input and output sides is performed by fully automatic image processing developed in-house.

■It is possible to construct a system according to the purposeWe prepare various holders according to the sample. We can handle a variety of samples, including quartz-based waveguides, polymer-based, semiconductor-based waveguides, and optical switches.

■Fully automatic system from aligning to fixing with UV adhesiveAfter alignment is completed using high-speed centering, fixing using UV adhesive can be performed automatically. After placing the sample in each sample holder, all processes can be performed automatically.
