Features of QUICKSURFACE

■3D modeler for 3D scan modelingQUICKSURFACE is a low-cost reverse engineering software that specializes in creating CAD data using 3D scan data. With excellent cost performance and simple operation, it can be used to suit a variety of operational styles.

There are two types of packages to choose from: ``Pro,'' which allows you to use all modeling functions, and ``Lite,'' which is a lower-priced package that includes all the functions necessary to create CAD from scan data.

■Modeling can be done directly from 3D scan dataYou can import 3D scan data (mesh data) as is and start modeling.

For example, it is equipped with functions for 3D scan modeling, such as extracting contour lines from mesh data to create a sketch, or selecting arbitrary points on a model to create features. Since you can model while directly referencing the 3D scan model, it is possible to express the shape more faithfully.

■Extract and select shapes from mesh dataWhen creating solid/surface models, you can directly extract and select shapes from mesh data.

For example, when drawing a sketch, create a plane (reference plane) to specify the location you want to create, and extract a cross section (outline) from the mesh data. You can create a sketch by drawing a line along the extracted outline while specifying constraints (dimensions and geometry). It is also possible to select any point on the mesh and create a solid or surface based on that range.

In this way, by having the ability to edit directly from 3D scanned models, you can create models more accurately and efficiently.

■Efficient operation with history-based hybrid modelingHybrid modeling using both solids and surfaces is possible. You can use different modeling methods depending on the purpose and shape, such as using solid commands for body parts with many simple geometric shapes, and creating surfaces for free-form surfaces that are difficult to express with solids.
