"CAST-DESIGNER" is software that has both gate system design CAD functions and analysis functions. The appropriate gate system and processing conditions can be adjusted in a short time. ■Fast processing using FEM (finite element method)
"CAST-DESIGNER" performs CPI analysis using FEM (finite element method). FEM (Finite Element Method) uses hexahedrons, tetrahedrons, or other element shapes to reproduce shapes, making it an excellent graphical description for complex parts. It is also ideal for simulating thin-walled parts. Compared to FDM (difference method) using simple 3D cells, the number of mesh models is greatly reduced, so analysis results can be derived quickly.
■Highly reliable analysis results
FDM, which is used by many analysis software, requires three calculation formulas for direction X, direction Y, and direction Z, and the solver combines the results for each direction. In this case, you may get good results in the X and Y directions for a given part, but poor or poor results in the Z direction, making the overall result less accurate. yeah.
Two trials with different sizes of XYZ will produce different results, making it difficult for the user to make a decision. On the other hand, with FEM, one calculation formula is used for all XYZ directions, so different results are not produced and the user is not confused about the decision.
■Automatic mesh creation
Meshing for analysis can be done automatically. Automatically repair small gaps, missing faces, duplicate faces, and intersecting faces. Furthermore, by using the local mesh function, it is possible to partially control the mesh size of important areas such as near sprues and thin areas, and create mesh models to derive more accurate analysis results.
