About This Product

The Centro LB963 is a high-performance, easy-to-use, and versatile 96-well microplate luminometer for both glow and flash luminescence assays. The instrument's optimized optical system minimizes background and provides extremely low crosstalk (10^-6) and can be equipped with up to 3 injectors. The Centro XS version system is built on the classic Centro and shares its reliability and robustness, but is optimized for even greater sensitivity. Centro XS is the most sensitive and reliable microplate luminometer available. Detects less than 1.8 amol/ATP per well. This makes the Centro XS an ideal partner for applications such as cell viability measurements. Other applications include tumor chemosusceptibility assays, cell proliferation, antibiotic susceptibility testing or pathogen detection.

■Ultra high sensitivity

Thanks to a rigorous selection of photomultiplier tubes operating in photon counting mode and over 40 years of experience in luminometer development, Centro offers highly sensitive luminescence detection. Reliably detects less than 5amol/ATP/well (25 fM). Centro XS has an optimized optical system that further improves sensitivity. Less than 1.8amol/ATP/well (9 fM).

■Low crosstalk

When performing measurements, do you often see some high-intensity samples surrounded by low-intensity wells? This may be affected by a phenomenon called crosstalk. The Centro LB963's crosstalk reduction design largely eliminates this problem. If the crosstalk is 10^-6, there is no need to worry about the position of bright samples within the plate.

■JET injector

Centro LB963 can be equipped with up to 3 JET injectors with variable capacity. The JET injector's ultra-fast injection speed eliminates delays between injection and measurement, allowing measurements of fast reactions such as flash emissions. Berthold Technologies' JET injectors use Teflon bellows for precise and fast injection, ensuring the most efficient mixing and long life.
