About This Product
This type has a split nut structure with 4 to 6 set screws on the end face of the nut. Suitable for severe applications such as high rotational acceleration. By tightening the set screw, the split nut is elastically deformed in the axial direction, preventing it from loosening.
The threaded part of the nut and the tightening end face are simultaneously turned using one-chuck machining, and the perpendicularity of the end face to the threaded part standard is guaranteed as mechanical accuracy.
■Precision lock nut installation procedure (spindle shaft, general procedure)
After temporarily tightening the nut with a wrench, while measuring the rotational runout accuracy of the shaft, make fine adjustments with a plastic hammer etc. to ensure accuracy. Next, perform final tightening with a torque wrench, check again that the shaft runout accuracy is correct, and secure the nut with a set piece. The part of the set piece that comes in contact with the screw is made of brass, which deforms and is pushed into the thread to prevent loosening.
