About This Product
This is a type where the 3 set pieces are tightened from the end side of the nut instead of from the outer periphery. The adhesion of the set piece to the threaded surface is weaker than that of the regular type, but the feature is that the set piece itself does not shift.
The threaded part of the nut and the tightening end face are simultaneously turned using one-chuck machining, and the perpendicularity of the end face to the threaded part standard is guaranteed as mechanical accuracy.
■Precision lock nut installation procedure (spindle shaft, general procedure)
After temporarily tightening the nut with a wrench, while measuring the rotational runout accuracy of the shaft, make fine adjustments with a plastic hammer etc. to ensure accuracy. Next, perform final tightening with a torque wrench, check again that the shaft runout accuracy is correct, and secure the nut with a set piece. The part of the set piece that comes in contact with the screw is made of brass, which deforms and is pushed into the thread to prevent loosening.
