■What is Zin-potassium copper plate?

Zin-potassium copper plate (55% aluminum, 43.4% molten zinc, 1.6% silicon) is a copper plate with an alloy coating that combines high corrosion resistance, heat resistance, heat reflectivity, and ease of processing. Furthermore, it is 3 to 6 times more durable than galvanized iron plates.

■Passive film and sacrificial corrosion protection for aluminum (Al) and zinc (Zn) plating

A passive film is a phenomenon in which a thin film of oxide is instantly formed on the surface of a metal or in areas that come into contact with air.The passive film that forms on the surface of aluminum increases the corrosion resistance of copper plates. Furthermore, even if the surface coating is damaged and the plating layer becomes exposed, the zinc and aluminum will oxidize and dissolve, protecting the damaged surface of the zinc-potassium copper plate (sacrificial gluttony).
