About This Product

■Seismic isolation is possible only for the necessary parts.Musolator™ is a simple seismic isolation device. Because it is possible to seismically isolate only the necessary parts, such as a single device or a specific area, it clears various constraints such as installation location, cost, and construction period. Musolator™ has fulfilled the seemingly contradictory demands of users: ``It doesn't move normally, but becomes seismically isolated only in the event of a major earthquake (seismic intensity 5 or higher).''

■Cost reduction & construction period reductionFloor seismic isolation using Musolator™ can be completed by simply finishing the floor in a normal earthquake-resistant building. There is no need to receive individual certification as a seismic isolation building or notification certification, which usually takes 3 to 6 months. Additionally, since laminated rubber is not used, there is no need for an underground pit, making it possible to significantly reduce costs and shorten the construction period.

It is possible to seismically isolate the entire floor by simply laying Musolator™ on top of the existing concrete and constructing the concrete. Since it can be used as a seismic isolation foundation, it can also be used for anchoring and construction of structures.

■After an earthquake | Position resetterAfter an earthquake occurs, it is possible to easily reset to the correct position using an electric jack stored in the pit.

■Fail safe (design concept to ensure maximum safety)With standard seismic isolation devices, if the shaking exceeds the range of motion, a large impact will be applied, which may cause the device to fall. Musolator™'s air damper absorbs shock even when the range of motion is exceeded, minimizing the risk of falling.
