About This Product

Using high-quality optical glass, the surface precision of the filter is extremely high, allowing you to observe and photograph with high image quality. By cutting out the emission lines from mercury and sodium lamps, which cause light pollution, the sky becomes clearer and more stars can be seen clearly. By transmitting emission lines such as OIII and Hα, it is possible to photograph nebulas with high contrast. The most common effect of light pollution is that the night sky becomes brighter, making it difficult to see the stars. In a natural night sky, thousands of stars and the Milky Way can be seen with the naked eye when there is no moonlight. However, in areas with severe light pollution, not only can the Milky Way not be seen at all, but the number of stars that can be seen with the naked eye is extremely limited. CLS filter stands for "CITY LIGHT SUPPRESSION" and is a filter that illuminates the night sky and suppresses light pollution that makes it difficult to see stars. Specifically, it cuts the wavelengths emitted by mercury lamps and sodium lamps, which are often used in street lights.
