About This Product
The SV183 IR Pass filter is designed to block all wavelengths below 670nm. Protects the image's maximum sharpness and brightness, unique properties, advanced finish, and exceptional durability. Enhanced contrast when used for IR-LRGB imaging of the moon and planets. CCD and CMOS sensors improve the results of infrared imaging.
Increase contrast: When used in imaging the moon and planets, it can reduce visual effects and increase contrast. It is particularly effective when photographing objects such as planets. Double-sided multi-coating reduces reflections. The scratch-resistant coating also makes it easy to clean.
In addition to astronomical applications, this filter can also be used for near-infrared nature photography, applying it to plants, sky and clouds, etc. (Requires the use of a camera sensitive to IR above 670nm) SVBONY's filters are not designed for viewing. Not suitable for visual perception.
It allows light with wavelengths around 670nm to pass through. The color of the light that passes through depends on the camera specifications. For example, the IMX290 color sensor used by the SV305 has a higher red sensitivity than other wavelengths, so it appears red in the image.
Above 800nm, the sensitivity of red, green and blue is almost the same, so it becomes gray. The wavelengths that IR pass filters pass differ depending on the product, and products that pass 656.3nm will allow you to see so-called red nebulae better. The red part around the Horsehead Nebula.
