■Overlapping bags can be recognized

The combination of 3D vision and AI learning algorithms enables recognition of overlapping thin and unstable bags. This is a robot vision system that recognizes products such as bags stacked on pallets and enables robots to unload them. By combining 3D and 2D image processing using AI (deep learning), we can handle highly difficult bag work that was previously difficult. In the past, it was difficult to recognize cases where thin bags with a low filling rate overlapped in a complicated manner in both 3D and 2D. By adding recognition using AI (deep learning) to regular 3D and 2D image recognition, this system has made it possible to determine the vertical relationship of overlapping bags. This new image processing technology enables robots to automate the depalletization of pallets with poor loading conditions, such as mistakes made when loading bags onto pallets or incomplete stacking procedures. The DeepLearning function allows it to learn the overlap of bags. Approximately 30 to 60 images are required for learning. By implementing the AI ​​model (judgment algorithm) obtained through learning and regular 3D recognition, we have achieved more accurate image recognition. The detection rate can be maintained at over 99% even when the material inside the bag is almost plain with no pattern.
