About This Product

Please use it as a temporary fixing tape when bonding heat insulation materials. It is not a tape specifically designed for connecting insulation materials, so it is not possible to connect insulation materials with this product alone. Product features

■Points to note when installing insulation materials

・Connect the insulation material according to the Japan Copper Center General Incorporated Association Coated Copper Pipe Construction Manual for Refrigerants. ・For details regarding insulation material connections, please refer to our technical document "Refrigerant-coated copper pipe specifications." ・The insulation material will shrink by a maximum of 2% (80mm per 4m length), so take measures to withstand the tensile force caused by the contraction of the insulation material connection area. ■Connection using adhesive

・Materials used Ultra versatile SU premium software manufactured by Konishi Co., Ltd. ・Adhesive sheet for curing fixation tape heat insulation material K-HBT50B

■Notes

It cannot be connected using only the heat insulation adhesive sheet. Be sure to use it together with adhesive.

■Construction procedure

■Notes

Please use special tape for connecting insulation material. General tape such as vinyl tape cannot be used. Please follow the installation instructions for the special tape for handling the insulation material connection tape.

■Construction procedure

・Connection preparation ・Application of special tape ・Wrapping special tape ・Kneading Regarding the regulations for insulation material specifications according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism standard specifications

■Flame retardant

From April 1, 2013, specifications for flame-retardant insulation materials have been stipulated. All of our insulation materials for coated refrigerant piping are flame retardant.

■Thickness of insulation material

From April 1, 2020, regulations have been changed to require the thickness of insulation material for liquid pipes to be 10 mm or more regardless of pipe size. Until now, if the nominal diameter of the liquid pipe was φ9.52 or less, it was possible to use insulation material with a thickness of 8 mm or more, but from now on, the thickness of the insulation material for liquid pipes will need to be 10 mm or more regardless of the pipe size.

■Coated refrigerant piping Ant nest corrosion and precautions during construction

- Ant nest corrosion occurs more frequently in environments where oxygen, moisture, and corrosive media exist. Please pay attention to the following points when constructing piping. - Completely seal the gap between the insulation material and the copper pipe with caulking to prevent condensation or rainwater from entering. Please be especially careful about the downward piping of the outdoor unit. When brazing copper pipes, do not use antioxidants containing alcohol-based solvents.
