■Summary
HEICO-LOCK® ringlock washers provide high quality and easy bolting for any application. Perfect for repeated use. The RingLock system is designed to ensure that two wedgelock washers are always installed in exact plane alignment with an outer retaining ring.
The correct combination of surfaces is the wedge-shaped cam on the inside. The radial teeth surface is on the outside. For example, it eliminates the work of assembling items packed separately into bolts while assembling them on site. Easy, safe, and speedy installation is possible even for non-skilled users.
■Ringlock system design
The RingLock system consists of a polyamide ring and a HEICO-LOCK® wedge lock washer
■HEICO-LOCK® wedge lock system
It provides maximum reliability even under severe vibrations and dynamic loads. When the bolt is tightened, the outer radial teeth surface of the HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Lock System is recessed into the underside of the bolt/nut and into the base metal.
・Very easy to install and remove
Wedge lock washers securely lock the bolted joint, while rings permanently lock the two respective washers in exact plane alignment every time.
・Particularly suitable for dynamic loads - also suitable for use with lubricants
・Suitable for use with 8.8, 10.9, and 12.9 steel bolts and their mating nuts

■Mechanism
The feature is that the bolt fixation is held by preload rather than by friction
・The inner surface of the lock washer is a wedge-shaped surface, and the outer surface is a radial teeth surface.
・The outer radial teeth surface is embedded so as to engage with the bottom surface of the bolt/nut and the base material.
- Movement of the system occurs only between the inner washer surfaces. Movement in this wedge-shaped plane effectively self-locks the bolt.
・Increase clamping force
One of the few effective locking technologies is the HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Lock System. Its efficacy is proven by the latest experimental standards
