About This Product

■Summary

When the bolt is tightened, the outer radial tooth surface of the HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Lock System is embedded into the underside of the bolt/nut and into the mating material. When the locking system is under dynamic stress, movement occurs only in the inner washer. This increases the clamping force. Perfect for repeated use. Even under severe vibrations and dynamic loads, the HEICO-LOCK® wedge lock system offers maximum reliability. When the bolt is tightened, the outer radial tooth surface of the HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Lock System engages and embeds into the underside of the bolt/nut and the base metal.

■HEICO-LOCK® wedge lock system

Proven system that secures bolts under high loads as well as under low loads ・Particularly suitable for dynamic loads - also suitable for use with lubricants ・Reusable ・Very easy to install and remove (wedge lock washers come in a pre-assembled pair) ・Suitable for use with steel bolts and their mating nuts of strength classifications 8.8, 10.9, and 12.9 HEICO-LOCK® wedge lock washers feature a preload, rather than friction, holding bolt fixation.

■Mechanism

・The inner surface of the lock washer is a wedge-shaped surface, and the outer surface is a radial teeth surface. ・The outer radial teeth surface is embedded so as to engage with the bottom surface of the bolt/nut and the base metal (when the bolt is tightened) - Movement of the system occurs only between the inner washer surfaces. Movement in this wedge-shaped plane effectively causes the bolt to self-lock ・Increase clamping force One of the few effective locking technologies is the HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Lock System. Its efficacy has been demonstrated by the latest experimental standards (DIN65151, DIN25201-4, NASM1312-7).

■Lineup

・There are two types, narrow type and wide type, which have the same compatible thread size but different outer diameters. ・There are two types: stainless steel and steel.
