About This Product

Spray droplets/powder/spray/mist "Powder particles flying in space" particle size distribution measuring device. Compatible with a wide range of applications, from spray cans to paint machines. Measurement modes are available to suit various applications. ・Key start (manual operation from keyboard) ・Auto start (automatic start after detection of scattered light from powder or granular material) ・Measurement start by external signal input Highly accurate particle size distribution analysis with short measurement intervals from 0.02msec. Equipped with multiple scattering correction software as standard, it is possible to measure even highly concentrated powder and granular materials. The compact optical bench allows the equipment to be installed even in limited space. Equipped with semiconductor laser.

■Wide measurement range

The latest laser diffraction/scattering instruments are capable of measuring particle size distribution over an extremely wide measurement range. Typically covers a particle size range of 20nm to 2mm. This corresponds to a factor of 100,000 between the smallest and largest measurable particle. In reality, it is used in a particle size range of about 30nm to 1,000µm. With Microtrac, there is no need to move lenses, choose the right optics, or make adjustments before taking measurements.

■Versatility

Laser diffraction and scattering instruments are used in various industrial fields, not only for routine analysis and quality control, but also for demanding research and development. This is because both wet samples such as suspensions and emulsions as well as dry powders can be easily measured. For wet measurements, sample preparation can often be carried out within the instrument, thanks to a powerful circulator with an integrated ultrasound probe. Dry measurements use a Venturi nozzle to disperse particles in a stream of compressed air.
