About This Product

■High-performance micro-XRF with market-leading speed and flexibility

M4 TORNADO is a device that uses micro fluorescent X-rays focused on minute points to obtain elemental information on samples. Its measurements give information about the composition and distribution of elements even from below the surface. Bruker's micro-XRF spectrometers are optimized for fast point, line, and 2D area scan (elemental mapping) analysis of all types of samples, including organic, inorganic, and liquids. Primary X-ray excitation uses a polycapillary lens that provides a small spot size and high X-ray intensity. M4 TORNADO is configurable with a variety of Bruker XFlash® Silicon Drift Detectors (SDDs) to achieve high throughput without compromising energy resolution. One of the great configuration options for the M4 TORNADO is an additional X-ray tube that provides a collimator changer for different target materials and extended analysis capabilities.

■How can M4 TORNADO support analysis?

Reduce measurement time. Optimized X-ray excitation path, high-throughput detector, and "on-the-fly" mapping of pixel times down to 1 ms. Capable of measuring samples up to 7kg. Large vacuum chamber, freely adjustable, two chamber pressure adjustment mechanisms, constant vacuum holding mechanism to protect your samples with automatic helium or nitrogen flush. Map areas up to 190 x 160mm2. Up to 40M pixels can be recorded in a single measurement, providing complete spectral information for each pixel with data storage as a hypermap. Quantify spectra, line scans, and mapping. Configurable basic parameter method, optional XMethod software package for layer or standards-based quantification, layer analysis of mapping.
