About This Product

■Easily and stably maintain an inert atmosphere

The main body is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, and the window material is 1mm thick quartz. Just stack the lids and tighten the 3 thumbscrews to maintain the seal. It is designed with consideration given to working inside a glove box where freedom is limited. Raman spectroscopic measurements of samples can be performed while easily and stably maintaining an inert atmosphere. (Patent applied for) The size of the sample chamber is φ10mm/depth 1.5mm. The trick to installing a thin sample is to use a spacer or the like to move the observation area closer to the window material.

■Evaluation of airtightness

Evaluate the airtightness of LIBcell using a lithium metal piece as a sample. With LIBcell, no change was observed in the Raman spectrum even after 24 hours, indicating that airtightness was maintained. On the other hand, under atmospheric conditions, a peak derived from LiOH already appeared 5 minutes after exposure, and Li2CO3 gradually began to be generated as well.

■Example of analysis under inert atmosphere

It is possible to measure while maintaining the reduced state of the charged negative electrode. Natural oxidation progresses quickly in the atmosphere, but using LIBcell it is possible to maintain a stable reduced state. For example, it is possible to compare slight differences due to different charging conditions.
