About This Product

Spectrum Two is highly functional, yet compact and durable, and is equipped with a variety of functions so that anyone can perform measurements. It also features rugged, versatile sampling capabilities and options for portable use. Ideal analysis can be performed not only in the laboratory but also in outdoor field environments. SpectrumTwo+'s new integrated touchscreen is designed to handle everyday routine tasks. The touch panel provides an intuitive and easy-to-use interface.

■Dynascan interferometer

Because the interferometer is designed with a fixed pair of mirrors, it does not require dynamic alignment to compensate for errors caused by linearly moving mirror systems. Our interferometers, proven in a variety of fields, use simple bearings that provide unparalleled longevity and reliability.

■OpticsGuard technology

A unique moisture-proof design protects Spectrum Two from environmental influences, allowing it to operate in harsh environments. Long-life desiccant ensures long-term operation of equipment regardless of installation location.

■Automatic atmospheric correction technology (AVC technology)

We have developed the world's first function to remove spectrum interference caused by atmospheric changes in real time. This feature is more than just water vapor difference spectroscopy. PerkinElmer's proprietary technology automatically calculates correction terms for minute changes in the atmosphere and wavenumber shifts without using nitrogen gas or dry air, and compensates for interference to the infrared spectrum due to absorption bands of water vapor and CO2 present in the optical path. is.

■Absolute calibration technology (AVI technology)

AVI technology is an "absolute calibration technology" that uses an absolute standard (methane gas) to minimize errors between measurements. Since an infrared light source is not a point light source and has a finite size, the infrared light spreads out at the sample position, and even if the model is the same, the wave number position may shift depending on the measurement environment. This phenomenon occurs with all FTIRs. By automatically measuring this deviation using the built-in methane gas and comparing it with the high-resolution methane gas database registered in HITRAN, it automatically leads to absolute calibration. Due to the AVI technology correction, the inter-instrument error is reduced to just 0.02 cm-1.
