■What is MTA alloy?

Utilizing the know-how cultivated over many years, MTA Alloy has developed a completely new melting method. We succeeded in alloying iron and copper for the first time in the world by finely dispersing iron and copper particles and alloying the two metals at the crystal level. Similar prototypes have been made in the past, but the greatest feature of this alloy is that the crystals are neatly dispersed, and it can be mass-produced in an atmospheric furnace. By adjusting the ratio of iron and copper, it is possible to have the performance of various copper alloys, so it was named the multi-purpose alloy - [Multi Tool Alloy].

■Fields where the characteristics of MTA9100 metal powder are utilized

MTA9100 metal powder is expected to be used in a variety of fields, but here are the fields in which it is particularly being developed as an iron-based copper alloy, or where it can be expected to be used. ・Metal 3D printer: Highly fluid spherical shape with very good weldability and excellent powder supply performance for lamination. It is possible to create objects with high hardness, strength, and excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, and it is also possible to manufacture objects using copper alloys, such as electrodes and precision molds. ・MIM: Fine spherical powder with high density, which minimizes binder consumption and enables highly accurate molding. ・Thermal spraying: It has a spherical shape with high fluidity and density, and can be used as a high-quality thermal spraying material that forms a film quickly. ・Powder plasma build-up welding: High-quality build-up is possible due to the properties of spherical powder, high fluidity, high density, and high thermal diffusivity. ・HIP (Hot Isostatic Pressure): Fine particle powder increases the packing density, and since it does not contain oxygen or carbon, you can expect high quality molded products. ・Circuit printing: It is possible to print circuits such as magnetic sensors and liquid leakage sensors at a lower cost than existing silver nanopowder and rare metal materials.

■Metal powder manufactured by gas atomization method

Metal powder manufactured using the gas atomization method. It has a beautiful spherical shape and iron and copper are dissolved in each micron particle, and it has high thermal conductivity and high hardness, so it can be used as a material for metal 3D printers, laser welding, powder metallurgy, thermal spraying, etc. It is applicable. ・It has a shape close to a true sphere and has high fluidity, making it suitable for use in metal 3D printers. ・Low oxygen concentration makes it possible to create high-density products - Resistant to oxidation, good surface condition of molded products
