About This Product

■Summary

Vollmer manufactures VSL systems for fully automatic measurement of the shape of rolls being dressed on polishing machines, as well as measuring gauges that can be mounted on the rolls and moved off-line. The VSL roll measuring device measures the shape, diameter, roundness and eccentricity of rolls online during dressing on a polishing machine. It achieves extremely high accuracy and measures shape, radial runout, and eccentricity with an accuracy of ±1um. It can communicate with the controller of the roll sanding machine, making it even more cost-effective to use the sanding machine. By installing the optional C sensor, the height and lateral position of the roll can be measured before polishing, greatly reducing setup time. VFR transverse straddle gauges are used for offline measurements. Place them on the roll and move them manually to measure the roll shape, such as the crown between the ends. It features a 1mm pitch measurement feel and high repeat accuracy of at least ±1um.
