About This Product

■No idling wear due to floating device even in vertical installation

When mounted on a vertical shaft, the lining rubs against the lower part due to its own weight, causing idling wear. However, by adopting a floating mechanism, the structure prevents idling wear.

■Easy floating adjustment

The contact area between the floating device and the adjuster is threaded, allowing for easy adjustment by simply turning the adjuster.

■Manual release possible

If you want to release the brake during a power outage, you can easily release it by passing two bolts from the end plate side and pressing the armature.

■Can be installed in any direction

Since the adjuster of the floating device is magnetically attracted to the hub and fixed, it does not come into contact with the armature and end plate and can be mounted in any direction. *There are restrictions on the thrust play of the mounting shaft. *Note 1.Insulation class F class 2.Initial torque is 50-60% of rated torque. 3.The limitations of the thrust play of the mounting shaft are as follows. ・165RKA, 190RKA: 0.10mm or less ・220RKA, 250RKA, 365RKA: 0.15mm or less

■Operation of floating device

The vertical series is equipped with a floating device that prevents contact between the rotating inner disc and armature that occurs during vertical installation in the following ways: When braking

■No floating device

The braking spring forces the armature's inner disc against the end plate, and the wear torque applies the brake.

■Floating device available

The braking spring forces the armature's inner disc against the end plate, and the wear torque applies the brake. The floating device also moves up along with the inner disk. When releasing the brake

■No floating device

When energized, the armature is attracted to the field side and the brake is released, but the inner disc comes into contact with the armature due to its own weight.

■Floating device available

When energized, the armature is attracted to the field side and the brake is released. The adjuster of the floating device contacts the hub of the inner disc and prevents the inner disc from falling.
