About This Product

■Small size, high torque, high response

Due to its dry multi-plate design, it is compact and can provide extremely large braking torque.

■Quiet operation

Since it is a DC-operated brake, there is no undulation or shock, and no large starting current flows.

■Robust structure

The structure is extremely robust and can withstand harsh use, and the spring-actuated type ensures reliable operation. Mechanical life is 1 million times.

■Long life and easy maintenance

The friction plate uses a special facing, which has a long life and requires fewer adjustments for friction, making maintenance easy. Gap adjustment can be easily done by turning the gap adjustment screw.

■Easy to install on motor

It can be easily attached to general-purpose motors and can easily be used as a brake motor.

■Manual release possible

If you want to release the brake during a power outage, you can easily release the brake by passing bolts from the back of the field through two through holes in the field to attract the armature. *Note ・Insulation class E class ・Initial torque is 50 to 60% of rated torque. ・Special specification products are as follows. 1.Different voltage specifications 2.Low noise specifications (ESB-135 to 250 symbol K) 3.High durability specifications (ESB-100 to 250 symbol V) 4.With manual release device (ESB-100 to 165 symbol LM, ESB-190 to 250 symbol H) 5.Inverter noise countermeasure specifications (ESB-190 to 250 symbol N) 6. Temperature reduction winding specifications (ESB-135 to 250 symbol D) Example of use: Continuous energization with a sealed cover, etc.

■Notes on temperature

The design ambient temperature of the brake is up to 40°C. If a sealed cover is attached and the power is continuously applied, the temperature inside the cover will rise (=the ambient temperature around the brake will rise), which will shorten the life of the insulating material. In this case, it is necessary to apply a special specification product.

■Precautions for installation

1.The recommended tolerance for the mounting shaft is JISh6. 2. When setting the brake body, make sure that the perpendicularity between the mounting surface and the shaft is within 0.1mm, and the concentricity is within 0.15mm. 3. To secure the hub, fit a retaining ring on the shaft to prevent it from moving in the axial direction. 4.If there is a risk of oil, fixed foreign objects, or large amounts of dust entering the friction surface, install a cover. 5.The mounting orientation is horizontal axis direction. Please contact us for vertical shaft installation.
