About This Product

RoboTest H is a test system that automates impact testing of plastics using the Charpy method or Izod method. The robotic testing system can be attached to a pendulum impact tester up to 50 Joules. Based on the requirements, uninstrumented or instrumented pendulum hammers are used. Plastics are tested using the Charpy method in ISO179-1 or the Izod method in ISO180 or ASTMD256. Automatic impact tests are performed on cold or tempered specimens. The specimens are tempered externally in a fully automatic testing system. The plastic specimens are inserted into the magazine compartment using a magazine carriage and heated or cooled completely with an optionally available temperature control box. The specimen height is 4 mm and the magazine has slots for 20 specimens. Once the desired specimen temperature is reached, place the magazine into the robotic testing system. The specimens are then automatically transported individually from the magazine via the slide unit. A specimen gripper picks up the specimen and places it inside the pendulum impact tester. For the Charpy method, the impact specimen is placed in the center of the specimen support. In the Izod method, the specimen is gripped in a vertical position.

■Advantages

- Operator effects (hand temperature/humidity, linearity when attaching the test piece, etc.) are eliminated, allowing for highly reproducible testing. -Lab staff are freed from routine tasks and can concentrate on more complex tasks. ・The system can be operated at all times, even when staff are not working, so there is no need to stop testing. - Full automation reduces the testing cost per test piece, so it is calculated that the investment can be recovered in 1 to 2 years. - The system creates highly reliable test reports and also performs statistical long-term test monitoring.
