About This Product

RoboTest I is a fully automatic impact testing system that can be used on metals and plastics. Attaches to pendulum impact testers up to 750 Joules to automate specimen tempering, feeding, and testing. Metals are tested according to the Charpy method of ISO 148 or ASTME23 in the temperature range -180 to +300°C (optional up to +600°C). The robotic testing system can be used with a 450 Joule (semi-automatic only) or 750 Joule pendulum impact tester. Plastics are tested in the temperature range -80 to +100°C using the Charpy method according to ISO 179 or ASTMD6110 or optionally the Izod method according to ISO 180 or ASTME23. For plastics, a 25 joule or 50 joule (HIT 25/50) pendulum impact tester can be used. Up to 10 specimens are placed in a temperature conditioning and feeding unit and tempered. No additional temperature control box required. Optionally, a temperature-controlled or supply unit capable of holding 21 specimens is available. In the fully automatic version, additional untempered specimens can be placed in an additional stacking magazine. The temperature regulator is automatically filled from these magazines. Specimen slide carriers facilitate the insertion and removal of specimens into and from the temperature conditioning device, either manually or automatically. After reaching the required temperature, the front-most specimen is pushed out of the temperature control device into the test position, where it is automatically aligned and shocked. The impact test is performed within 5 seconds of removing the specimen from the temperature conditioning device.

■Advantages

- Operator effects (hand temperature/humidity, linearity when attaching the test piece, etc.) are eliminated, allowing for highly reproducible testing. -Lab staff are freed from routine tasks and can concentrate on more complex tasks. ・The system can be operated at all times, even when staff are not working, so there is no need to stop testing. - Full automation reduces the testing cost per test piece, so it is calculated that the investment can be recovered in 1 to 2 years. - The system creates highly reliable test reports and also performs statistical long-term test monitoring.
