About This Product

■Research and development using biRAPID to bring products to market “fast” (RAPID)

Prototyping and manufacturing power electronics equipment requires a lot of know-how, effort, time, and money. In recent years, semiconductors that operate at high speeds such as SiC and GaN are often used, making the design significantly more difficult. Even after painstaking design and prototyping, if a malfunction occurs due to noise, it will be necessary to design and prototype again, which will take even more time. In the development of power electronics, we have prepared a product called ``biRAPID'' that realizes rapid prototyping, a development method for rapidly creating prototype models of products. Using biRAPID, you can speed up the feedback cycle of planning, design, and prototyping.

■Dividing power electronics into parts and creating modules

Power electronics products and systems consist of parts such as converters, controllers, and sensors. biRAPID is divided into each part and made into modules. By replacing part of your system with biRAPID parts, you can reduce the number of parts that require prototyping and speed up research and product development.

■Grid connection experiment set

・Experiment set for learning the mechanism of grid-connected inverter ・System with maximum capacity of 5kVA ・Sample code for grid-linked control that enables power running and regeneration is included. ・It is possible to add options such as switches and anti-rush circuits to the system connection part.

■Example of functions included in the sample code

・PLL (phase synchronization control): Control to synchronize with the system phase ・Control of active and reactive current: Current feedback control in rotating coordinate system ・Coordinate conversion function: Three-phase two-phase conversion/Rotating coordinate exchange ・Various grid abnormality detection: An abnormality is detected during grid connection and gate blocks/switches are released (optional)
