About This Product

■Product overviewHigh speed, high image quality, A3 compatible. For printing quality control of fluorescent ink. This is an image scanner equipped with ultraviolet fluorescence. It is useful for various analyzes such as inspection and quality control of fluorescent ink, identification of erased characters in parchment manuscripts used in archaeological research, and restoration of erased fluorescent pen characters.

■No darkroom required. For quality control of fluorescent ink printing density.Traditionally, a darkroom was required to observe and analyze fluorescent ink. FLSCAN-4 can be used even in bright places. Installed next to your PC, you can obtain beautiful fluorescence images just by placing the object to be inspected on the scanning glass surface and closing the lid, much like a copy machine. Furthermore, it does not miss even weak fluorescence that cannot be captured with conventional UV light sources and CCD cameras.

With conventional UV light sources and CCD cameras, it is difficult to accurately compare the fluorescence intensity (for example, fluorescent ink density) at each location of the subject because the light source intensity changes each time a photograph is taken and the peripheral light attenuation of the lens occurs. FLSCAN-4 is equipped with shading correction and obtains the fluorescence intensity of the target without relying on uneven illumination of the UV light source or peripheral dimming of the lens. Additionally, FLSCAN-4 can obtain 16-bit (65,536 gradation) images with high repeatability.

Taking advantage of the above features, it is possible to create a database of images and directly compare past images with current images. This is an essential item for quality control of fluorescent ink print density and print lot analysis.

■Achieving both high resolution approaching that of a microscope and A3 sizeFLSCAN-4 can obtain detailed images with a maximum resolution of 2,400ppi. In other words, it can resolve images of 11μm. Traditionally, with a microscope, it was necessary to move the object or change the magnification in order to change the observation location. FLSCAN-4 can simultaneously capture up to A3 size images at 2,400ppi. (*Special scanner drive software (iMeasureScanPro) is required.)

Once you set the inspection object like a copy machine and close the lid, all subsequent operations can be performed from a PC.
