About This Product

■Summary

Makor is a machinable ceramic with excellent free machinability and insulation properties. It has excellent free-cutting properties, allowing complex shapes and precision machining. Due to its material properties, it is also a material that does not easily chip. Carbide and high-speed steel tools can also be used. We have a track record of processing fine holes of Φ0.1. Mirror finish is also available. *Macol® is a registered trademark of Corning Incorporated.

■Features

・Excellent free-cutting properties and easy precision machining ・Chipping is less likely to occur and ultra-precision finishing is possible. ・Can use carbide and high speed steel tools ・Excellent vacuum properties. Due to its nonporous nature, there is little gas permeation and degassing, and zero water absorption, making it suitable as a vacuum material. ・He permeability is better than Pyrex ・Excellent electrical insulation ・Can be used at -273 to 1,000℃ (800℃ continuous use, 800℃ in high vacuum) ・Insulating, non-magnetic ・Mirror finishing possible
