■Converter plug

The converter plug is a product developed to prevent slag from flowing out during the initial stage of steel tapping in the converter.

■Features

・Because it has a tapered shape, it can accommodate changes in the tapping hole size. ・By using a special jig, it can be easily inserted into the tapping hole by hand. - The material is a soft refractory, and when inserted into the tapping hole, the shape changes due to the pressure of insertion, making it possible to sufficiently close the tapping hole. - After inserting the steel into the tapping hole, it solidifies quickly due to the heat of the furnace body, so it will not fall off due to tilting before tapping. ・It is economical because it can be provided at a low price.
