The Novanta (formerly Laser Quantum) torus series is a single frequency (longitudinal mode single) CW (continuous) oscillation DPSS laser system. The lineup includes wavelengths and oscillation outputs of up to 200mW for the 660nm model and up to 750mW for the 532nm model.
The TORUS laser system is designed to prevent mode hops through electronic control, and is the only one in the industry that has the ability to lock a single frequency mode, suppressing mode hops as well as wavelength drift, making it stable (laser head temperature is 19℃). It can oscillate at a wavelength of 0.2 pm or less even when the temperature changes up to ~40°C.
In addition, it is characterized by extremely high purity of the oscillation wavelength, with a sideband of less than -110dB relative to the oscillation wavelength, and is ideal for holography, Brillouin scattering, and high-resolution Raman spectroscopy due to its high coherence and wavelength stability.
