Manufactured by Laser Quantum in the UK, the gecco One is a highly stable femtosecond laser system that incorporates Laser Quantum's proprietary self-start, mode-locked monitoring and maintenance system into an extremely robust mechanical design laser head.
It has a repetition frequency of 80MHz (70 to 110MHz available as an option), a maximum output of 600mW, and is easy to operate/user friendly. The innovative design consists of a shock-resistant compact laser head incorporating a Ti:sapphire oscillator and excitation light source, and a control support unit. The control support unit has the ability to monitor laser performance and provide diagnostic analysis of the laser condition. gecco One achieves high stability and long equipment life due to these configurations and functions.
Due to its high stability and reproducibility, researchers at the Max Planck Institute in Germany say, ``The Gecco laser is very effectively used as a seed laser for a 25fs KHz Amplifier.It also requires no maintenance and provides stable reproduction every day.'' We are very satisfied with the fact that we can obtain a laser beam with such characteristics.''
