About This Product

■PEM® fasteners for stainless steel base materials help make stainless steel products lighter and smaller.A very basic thing about self-clinching is that the fastener must always be harder than the base material to ensure proper and permanent installation. Attaching fasteners to stainless steel substrates is particularly difficult. Therefore, we have developed special hardened stainless steel fastener products for stainless steel base materials.

Fasteners made from precipitation-hardened stainless steel, including A286 stainless steel, are particularly useful in applications such as outdoor equipment, medical equipment, chemical processing equipment, food processing equipment, or equipment in harsh environments.

■SMPP™ Clinching NutSMPP™ nuts can be installed on stainless steel substrates of .025”/0.64mm or larger. Compared to SP types with the same thread diameter, the SMPP™ nuts have a smaller outside diameter and can accommodate thinner plate thicknesses.
・Can be installed on stainless steel base material with plate thickness of .025”/0.64mm or more.
- Corrosion resistance equivalent to 300 series stainless steel.
・Compared to SP nuts with the same thread diameter, the outer diameter is smaller and can be attached to thinner base materials.
・Recommended for stainless steel base materials with hardness below HRB90/HB192.
