About This Product

■Projection welding nut

PEM® brand WN™/WNS™ weld nuts are designed to be welded onto another metal surface in an appropriately sized hole. PEM® weld nut designs help solve various problems associated with other weld nuts.

■Engineered protrusions

- Prevents burnout of thin plates. - Protects the nut from distortion while welding with high current.

■Round head design

- Delete long and time-consuming indexes. - Speed ​​up production using standard equipment. - Compact design fits narrow flanges.

■Self-locating shank

- Eliminates the need for complex electrodes with pilots. - Properly place weld nuts. -Protects threads from welding spatter. A variety of welding equipment is suitable for installing PEM® weld nuts. Best results are obtained with a 50KVA press type, spot welder where the upper welding head moves in a straight line, perpendicular to the lower electrode. A flat-faced electrode with a tip diameter of .125” / 3.2mm larger than the E dimension of the PEM® weld nut shall be used. PEM® weld nuts are available in steel (WN™) or stainless steel (WNS™). Stainless steel nuts also have the advantage of being corrosion resistant. Setting Guide for PEM® Weld Nuts in .030”/0.77MM to .063”/1.6MM Sheets
