About This Product

■PEM® lock nuts prevent screws from loosening.PEM® lock nuts provide an ideal solution to prevent external threads from loosening during use due to vibration or other factors. This family of fasteners includes a variety of models and different locking styles to suit a wide range of applications. Compared to other locking agents and patches, using locknuts saves you time and money.

PEM® lock nuts are available in two locking types.
■Pre-baling torque (CFN™, FE™, FEO™, UL™, LAS™, LAC™, LA4™, LK™, LKS™, LKA™, PL™, PLC™, SL™ lock nut)The unique thread shape of lock nuts creates resistance in the male threads, increasing the force required to tighten or loosen the nut. Pre-balancing torque lock nuts provide essentially the same torque value regardless of axial load.

■Free running (PEM RT® lock nut)Nuts that need to be tightened after coming into close contact with the seat surface to prevent them from loosening. If the clamping force (axial force) is removed for any reason, the nut has no resistance to loosening. When tightening a screw, the unique thread shape allows the screw to rotate freely until axial force is applied.

PEM free-running locknuts can be used with threads of up to 6g/2A material.

■CFN™ broaching lock nutCFN™ broaching fasteners are available for applications close to the edge of sheet metal. The nylon locking device provides pre-balancing torque and eliminates loosening of the male thread.
-Can be used near the edge of thin plates.
・The pre-baling torque lock prevents the male screw from loosening.
