About This Product
■PEM® brand clinching nuts are used for attaching and fixing to base materials such as aluminum, steel, or stainless steel.
When installing a clinching nut, insert it into an appropriately sized base metal mounting hole and apply pressure parallel to the nut head. The base metal around the shank flows into the undercut and the fastener becomes part of the base metal. After installation, the knurled clinching ring prevents the fastener from rotating.
■PEM RT® Free Running Lock Nut
Screw in without any load until axial force is applied. The special screw thread shape provides anti-vibration and anti-loosening effects.
The free-running locking mechanism allows screws to be tightened without any load until axial force is applied. Once the axial force is removed, the nut has no resistance to locking until the axial force is applied again.
- Resistant to screw loosening due to vibration.
・The back side of the base material where the screws are attached is almost flat.
- The locking effect is not affected by repeated tightening and loosening.
-Uses the same mounting holes and tooling as standard S™ nuts.
・Can be installed on steel or aluminum base materials with hardness below HRB80/HB150.
・PEM RT® free-running locking screws can also be installed on other PEM® female thread products.
