■Characteristics of Heiwa Denki band heaters
A band heater is a cylindrical heater that has a nichrome wire insulated with a heat-resistant mica plate and covered with a metal plate. By adhering closely to curved surfaces, it provides a well-balanced heat conduction effect. You can choose from materials such as stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance and bonded steel plate with excellent thermal efficiency.
■Warnings when using band heaters
Please use according to the rated voltage of the heater. Using the product at a voltage other than the specified voltage may cause fire, electric shock, or leakage. Do not touch the heater with bare hands while it is energized or immediately after it is energized. It generates heat at high temperatures and may cause burns.
Please refrain from adding additional work to the product. Doing so may cause electric shock or wire breakage.
Do not use in air or liquid where moisture or oil is present. Be sure to turn off the power when touching the heater. Touching it while the power is on is dangerous as it may cause electric shock.
■Precautions when using the band heater
Please avoid shocks caused by dropping the heater, as this may cause malfunction, disconnection, electrical leakage, or electric shock. Please refrain from applying strong loads (pulling, etc.) to the heater terminals and lead wires, as this may cause malfunction, disconnection, electrical leakage, or electric shock.
Install the heater so that it is in close contact with the surface to be heated. Also, please be aware that the band may loosen due to thermal expansion after heating. If there is a gap between the heated surface and the heater, it may cause premature disconnection of the heater, so we recommend retightening the tightening bolts after heating.
