This is a timer that can announce the elapsed time by voice. The timer time and function settings can be set by following the voice announcements, so even the visually impaired can use it. The main buttons are larger and easier to press. Additionally, three-dimensional marks are placed around each button (except for start/stop), allowing you to grasp the button's position by touch.
Additionally, the large LCD display can also be used as a general timer. This is a timer that can be used in a variety of situations such as cooking, studying, and work.
■Adopting ideas from visually impaired people
During the development process, we also took into consideration the opinions of visually impaired people. As a result of receiving and incorporating various ideas such as button placement and sound output, we have completed a product that is easier to use for everyone involved.
■About functions
There are three types of timer functions: countdown timer, repeat timer, and countup timer. The sound function can be selected from voice or electronic sound, and in addition to the sound, it is equipped with a vibration function. It is also possible to operate with vibration only by turning off the volume and turning on vibration. If you have trouble operating the device, press the timer and sound buttons at the same time to hear an announcement explaining the operation.
