About This Product

CBZ is a thermosetting resin that has excellent adhesion with various fibers including carbon fiber, and can produce FRP with excellent mechanical properties. It can be applied to various molding methods in the same way as conventional unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins.

■Product features

・High adhesion to carbon fiber ・High adhesion to glass, aramid, and basalt fibers ・Providing CFRP with excellent bending, compression, and interlaminar shear strength ・Excellent impregnating property ・Weather resistance ・Low water absorption ・Oil and gasoline resistance ・High heat resistance (CBZ255 series) ・Flame retardant (CBZ650 series)

■Product usage

It can be adapted to various molding methods. Why CBZ? 1. Adhesion to fiber = high physical properties

■High adhesion

Because CBZ has excellent adhesion, a large amount of resin remains on the fibers.

■Mechanical properties

The room temperature cured product of CBZ-CFRP has better physical properties than the post-cured product of VE-CFRP. In the case of the following configuration, CBZ achieves interlaminar shear strength of 50 MPa only by curing at room temperature. ・Resin: CBZ500LM-AS, General-purpose vinyl ester Neopol 8250L ・Fiber: Carbon fiber (CO6343,T300;200gsm) ・Lamination composition: 8 ply – thickness 2mm ・Molding: Hand lay-up molding Vf: 40% ・Curing composition: PR-CBZ 01 0.5PHR, 328E 1.0PHR

CFRP using CBZ has excellent physical properties, so it can be designed to be thin enough to withstand the required load.
