About This Product
■Environmentally friendly
It does not emit halogen-based toxic gases when burned, and has the lowest calorie burn rate among plastics.
■Flame resistance
In contrast to acrylic, which is fire-spreading, PETEC is self-extinguishing. It has also been certified as extremely flame retardant in the railway vehicle material combustion test.
■Secondary processability
It does not whiten even when cold bent, and thin objects up to 1.5 mm can be punched out, which is impossible with acrylic.
■Vacuum/pressure moldability
Compared to acrylic, it can be molded in a lower frequency range and requires less heating time, so costs can be reduced.
■Transparency
It has excellent transparency, showing a high level of total light transmittance and haze (0.3%: measured value) comparable to acrylic. It is also a transparent material with a glossy surface and a luxurious feel.
■Printing suitability
Good printing is possible using common inks and paints such as those for PET and polyester.
■Compliant with Food Sanitation Law
Conforms to Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare Notification No. 201 of 2006 (applicable products: PET-6010-6010A, 6710, 6820, 6025, PETND-76600, PETND MRG60).
■Suitable for sterilization applications
It is less susceptible to deterioration due to γ (gamma) rays and EOG (ethylene oxide gas) and can be used for sterilization purposes.
■Gas barrier properties
It has well-balanced gas barrier properties.
