About This Product

■Environmentally friendlyIt does not emit halogen-based toxic gases when burned, and has the lowest calorie burn rate among plastics.

■Flame resistanceIn contrast to acrylic, which is fire-spreading, PETEC is self-extinguishing. It has also been certified as extremely flame retardant in the railway vehicle material combustion test.

■Secondary processabilityIt does not whiten even when cold bent, and thin objects up to 1.5 mm can be punched out, which is impossible with acrylic.

■Vacuum/pressure moldabilityCompared to acrylic, it can be molded in a lower frequency range and requires less heating time, so costs can be reduced.

■TransparencyIt has excellent transparency, showing a high level of total light transmittance and haze (0.3%: measured value) comparable to acrylic. It is also a transparent material with a glossy surface and a luxurious feel.
