About This Product

Can be used with both linear and magnetic rings (rotating). Non-contact and high-speed measurement.

■Absolute sensor ideal for motion control

The newly developed absolute magnetic sensor head AKS17 is ideal for linear and rotational measurement applications and provides an inexpensive absolute measurement system in combination with a magnetic ring and magnetic scale. Direct measurement up to 2,350 mm, rotating magnetic rings can be measured on the outer diameter surface and end face, and there are 3 sizes of outer diameter. The sensor head is available with BiSS-C and SSI as output signals, and outputs incremental signals at the same time. This hollow shaft type absolute encoder with a resolution of 21 to 24 bits is more effective when installed at the end of a shaft than a general shaft type encoder. The sensor head has an extremely compact outer diameter of 28 mm long x 16 mm wide x 3.4 (6.6) mm high.
