About This Product

■Features

・A unique high-durability structure for machine tools that uses steel balls inside the pipe as a scale. ・Durability of 100G shock resistance using electromagnetic induction measurement method that measures with primary and secondary coils. - Can be used immersed in chips, coolant, or oil. - By applying a preload to the steel ball, the scale will not displace even if there is a slight temperature change.

■Newall Technology

Newall's electromagnetic induction linear encoders feature a hermetically sealed scale, electronic components, and coils necessary for measurement, making them compact, highly accurate, and innovative in design. The linear encoder meets the protection class IP67 and can maintain accuracy and measurement reliability even when completely immersed in cutting water, coolant, or oil. The main difference from other linear encoders is that it is a highly rigid and durable product that uses a highly accurate scale using steel balls and an electromagnetic coil measurement method that can be considered an electric machine. In particular, steel pipe scales with built-in steel balls exhibit minimal deterioration over time and exhibit excellent performance and durability. No other linear encoder like this exists other than Newall.

■Scale

Newall scales are constructed with high-precision nickel-chrome balls embedded in stainless steel tubes or carbon fiber. The steel balls mounted inside are preloaded to maintain accuracy even with minute temperature changes in a temperature-controlled environment. Preload has the effect of suppressing minute expansion and contraction of the scale (ball) due to temperature changes. *Other model numbers are available.
