About This Product

Chamber furnaces of the HTK KE furnace type are insulated with ceramic fibers. Rectangular design with front door makes loading and unloading easy. The HTK series has up to 6 different sizes. The smallest designs with capacities of 8 and 25 liters are commonly employed in research and development laboratories. 80 liter, 220 liter, 400 liter and 600 liter furnaces are mainly used for pilot manufacturing systems and large scale production. The furnace can be used with a defined oxygen mixture or with 100% pure oxygen. The heating element is CrFeAl with a maximum temperature of 1,350 °C or MoSi2 with a maximum temperature of 1,800 °C. It is also possible to use inert gas, but the poor quality of the atmosphere must be taken into account. Due to the porous nature of the insulation, vacuum operation is limited to short, rough vacuum ranges.

■Technical details

Inside the furnace, heating elements are placed on the bottom, left, right, and top surfaces to improve temperature uniformity. For large volumes, heating elements are also placed on the back wall and front to maintain excellent temperature uniformity. The HTK W, HTK MO, HTK GR and HTK KE furnaces are surrounded by a water-cooled vessel, so the HTK system is classified as a cold wall furnace. The cooling water is directed into a double-walled container.
