About This Product

Swing hammer mills are used for grinding, pulverizing, and crushing medium-hard, hard, brittle, tough, and fibrous samples. Retsch's swing hammer mill HM200 can process samples up to 100 mm and, depending on the properties of the sample, can be pulverized to 0.8 mm. It is ideal for batch-type or continuous-type large-volume sample processing, and provides high throughput. Thanks to its robust design and easy operation and cleaning, the HM200 is also suitable for use in laboratories and pilot plants.

■ High grinding particle size for sample discharge and high reproducibility

This diagram shows a comparison between the swing hammer mill HM200 and two types of rotor mills. It is clear that the HM200 has extremely high processing capacity. The grinding efficiency (maximum feed rate divided by the minimum achievable grind rate) of the HM200 shows good results. The SR300 and SK300 accept samples up to 25mm (HM200 up to 100mm) and grind them to particle sizes below 0.05mm and 0.1mm, respectively, achieving high grinding rates.

■Easy to clean rotor and hammer

- Hinged hopper allows access to the grinding chamber from above ・It is also possible to add a fold-back option to the center part where the rotor and hammer are located, so that the rotor and hammer can be easily cleaned from below.

■The swing hammer mill HM200 allows the following parts to be replaced by the user in order to extend its service life even when used for harsh grinding operations.

・Side wall version inside the mill ・Rotor with swing hammer The safety switch and brake motor allow you to stop the vehicle immediately in the unlikely event that the door opens unexpectedly.
