About This Product

The automatic polishing machine is a high-speed polishing system mainly used to process hard materials such as sapphire, silicon carbide and gallium nitride (up to 12″/300mmΦ) into epitaxial quality surfaces.Using drive head technology, the carrier head can handle up to 200kg. Loads can be applied, significantly reducing process time.

■Reduction of process time

Materials such as sapphire, silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) are hard and difficult to polish due to their inert properties. DP1 solves this problem. The DP1 can apply up to 200kg of backside pressure, significantly reducing process times by 70-400% compared to traditional methods. In addition to downward pressure, the carrier head is also driven in a rotational direction, resulting in consistent and even polishing. The combination of downward and rotational pressure ultimately results in polishing the material to epitaxial quality in a short time.
