■Product overview

JDM Tech's Laser R-Test (LRT) system accurately measures simultaneous 3-axis and simultaneous 5-axis motion on 5-axis machine tools. The system is laser-based, non-contact, wirelessly operated, and includes user-friendly software. Furthermore, measurement and correction work does not require any specialized knowledge, so anyone can easily operate it.

■Compatible with various NC devices

Compatible with various NC devices such as HEIDENHAIN, FANUC, SIEMENS, PC-based... In addition to being able to measure multi-axis simultaneous control motion specified in the annex to ISO 10791-6, it is also possible to analyze and automatically correct errors after measurement (backlash, rotary axis eccentricity, etc.).

■Measurement method

LRT maps the three-dimensional relative position of a reference glass sphere within the machine tool space by irradiating a reference level with laser light. At this time, the relative position can be detected according to the displacement of the glass bulb, and the amount of error can be determined. Additionally, since this mapping process is performed over Wi-Fi, data can be collected remotely. Furthermore, the distance between the probe and glass bulb during laser measurement is as large as ±20 mm, so the risk of collision is extremely small.
